This year the 2009 is at Wang-Ta-Krai, NaKornNaYok province, not very far from the campus. Let's see what the 2009 students doing -

We visit the longest fly ash-mixed concrete dam in the world: The Khundan Prakanchon Dam (Khundan Dam, for short).. (เขื่อนขุนด่านปราการชล (เขื่อนคลองท่าด่าน) อันเนื่องมาจากพระราชดำริ ตั้งอยู่บริเวณบ้านท่าด่าน ตำบลหินตั้ง อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดนครนายก รวมระยะเวลาก่อสร้าง 8 ปี ปีงบประมาณ 2540-2547 ใช้งบประมาณทั้งสิ้น 10,193,000,000 บาท

เขื่อนคลองท่าด่าน เป็นเขื่อนคอนกรีตบดอัดที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในโลก มีปริมาตรคอนกรีตบดอัด (Roller Compacted Concrete) ถึง 5,470,000 ลูกบาศก์เมตร สูง 93 เมตร ยาว 2,720 เมตร ขนาดความจุ 224 ล้านลูกบาศก์เมตร การก่อสร้างผสมผสานระหว่างวิศวกรรมงานคอนกรีตกับวิศวกรรมงานดิน มีการนำเอาเถ้าลอยลิกไนท์ (Fly Ash) ซึ่งเป็นกรด ที่ได้จากเหมืองแม่เมาะ อำเภอแม่เมาะ จังหวัดลำปาง มาใช้ให้เกิดประโยชน์)
